This paper studied and produced a circularly polarized broadband monopulsemicrostriparray antenna based on airborne communications applications. Broadbandmicrostrip arrayis a international research focuse. For the narrow bandwidth problem ofconventionalmicrostrip antenna, this article will focus on improving the bandwidth ofcircularly polarized microstrip antenna array.The maininnovation in this thesis are as follows:(1) Broadband Technology and circular polarization method is studied in this article.Reducing the Q of equivalent resonant circuit, Introducing lossless impedancematching network, adding additional resonator can be used to broaden the bandwidth.Circular polarization method comprises introducing perturbation, multi-feed method,multivariate method.(2) Two wideband microstrip antenna elements, circularly polarized and linearpolarized,are designed and simulated, with the double-layer structure used to broaden thebandwidth. The relative bandwidth of the two antenna elements are more than15%.(3) Design program of antenna array is given, and using MoM, FEM method to umericalmodeling, simulating, analysising.38C-band circularly polarized microstrip array isdesigned and produced according to the simulation results, and tested. The measuredresults show that relative bandwidth of theantenna is more than15.7%, VSWR is lessthan2,the gain of sum beam is more than18dB, the zero depth of difference beam is betterthan-25dB, axial ratio is less than3.
