Satellite mobile communication has become the research direction quickly developed and a powerful means in the field of modernization communication. The research of the propagation property of the satellite communication channel is one of the most important factors among the research and design of the satellite mobile communication system.Having analyzed IF signal, the satellite channel emulator realized having nothing to do with the structure of the signal input simulates the spatial channel propagation delay, spatial channel reduction, RF Doppler frequency, signal-to-noise ratio and ionosphere dispersion suitable for dealing with various IF signals. The satellite channel emulator in the frame of software radio simulates the changing information of spatial propagation, including the distance, Doppler, slew rate, signal-to-noise ratio and ionosphere dispersion on the basis of working frequency, EIRP, orbit or the curve of the spacecraft. The spacecraft orbit data is imported through net-interface or by files.Under the research of satellite orbit simulation, distance simulation, speed simulation, Doppler simulation and ionosphere dispersion simulation, the design project of software and hardware is proposed. Many testing and simulating results proves the simulation range and precision of the channel emulator for the distance, speed, Doppler, slew rate, signal-to-noise ratio and ionosphere dispersion.
