Infrared detector is a core component of infrared systems and thermal imaging system. The study of Infrared detectors imaging performance is an important part of infrared physics and infrared technology. Due to the continuous development of infrared detection technology, whether military or civilian, for the performance requirements of the detector is increasing. Therefore, for the theoretical analysis of the performance of the detector becomes meaningful up. The key to improve the level of infrared detectors is to study the imaging performance infrared detectors and found that factors affecting these properties, and then find a viable solution. In this paper, infrared photodetectors as the research object, through theoretical derivation, get a set of parameters factor, then the image of the data were analyzed and discussed, resulting in the factors affecting the MTF infrared detector.First, the paper introduces the basic concepts of optical imaging system MTF, testing methods, as well as the transform relationship between point, line, edge three spread function and the MTF. Secondly, it introduced the basic knowledge of infrared detector, infrared detectors classification, analyzed the photoelectric infrared detector. Third, on top of semiconductor physics, device physics, optical imaging principle basics and via the Seib theoretical model to study the carrier caused MTF and calculated MTF relational expression caused by carrier diffusion. Fourth, the study of the relationship between the optical crosstalk MTF under no diffraction effects due to extrinsic detector model uses the line spread function theory. On the basis of these two parts of the study above, the proposed model of the relationship between an ideal state of total crosstalk and MTF.Finally, this paper, the parameters have been reported, combined with the inferred relationship image MTF curves obtained with various influencing factors, qualitative analysis of the specific impact of two factors on the MTF. How to balance the resulting impact factor to reduce the impact on the MTF, thus improving the performance of infrared imaging detectors.
