As the growing of the technology of the space explorations and technology, the demand of the photon counting integrated imaging detectors have been enhanced in space, especially in the field of ultraviolet astronomy. In order to satisfy the requirements of the high performance, we have a urgent mask to research photon counting integrated imaging detectors with high space resolution and high the temporal resolution. Due to domestic study of the photon counting integrated imaging detectors behind the foreign, there is a large diference in the performance. It is the photon counting integrated imaging detectors for EUV with cross strip anode with the potential advantage of high resolution and large array in area that has been a focus in the field of the UV detectors.We have developed a novel electronic readouts detector that the extreme ultraviolet photon counting integrated imaging detector bases on ultraviolet optical systems photocathode、microchannel plates(MCP) with "V" structure、cross strip anode、 electronic readout system and software for Gaussian centroid position decoding algorithm and image reconstruction algorithm. In this paper, we have research the imaging performance of EUV photon counting detector with cross strip anode in detail. The major contributions are outlined as follows:1. we have researched the theory of cross strip anode,set up the model, optimazed the structure, and develop 4 methods of the cross strip anode fabricated technology We have obtained the prototype of cross strip anode and detect the performance of the interelectrode capacitance up to the scales of pF. That result indicates the cross strip anode can overcome crosstalk of the adjacent electrodes.2. On the basis of sdudy of microchannel plates,the stucture of microchannel plates has been select as "V-links" in oder to enlarge the gain of microchannel plates and aquire the optimal parameter.We have simulated the mechanism of secondary electron emission by the means of Monte Carlo.3. We have developed the charge sensitive preamplifiers of the electronic readout systems and achived the charge signal on the scale of fC amplified in the multichannel synchronously.We have designed the control circuit module of the electronics readout system by FPGA. It have fleetly transmited the data from the electronic readout system to PC by VME8010 in real-time.4. On the study of Gaussian centroid position decoding algorithm to improve the theory and optimize the parameters,it make use of the Gaussian centroid decoding algorithm to decode photon event positions accurately.In detail, the precise of the photon event positions decoding is very good. Therefore, the imaging software based on the Gaussian centroid decoding algorithm and imaging reconstruction algorithm has been completed to carry out the image processing and picture analysis.5. We have simulated the imaging performance of EUV photon counting detector with cross strip anode system by the thought of Monte Carlo and the tool of Gean4 to show images of resolution test masks illustrating the exceptional spatial resolution of the cross strip readout combained the model simulation, image reconstruction, picture rest. At the present time it can resolve features on the scale of~7μm.6. We have set up the experimental platform to image for the photon counting. We have not only achieved the clear picture on the ultraviolet band, but also analyzed the resolution and nonlinearity.Compared with other position sensitive anode.the cross strip anode have improved the performance and promoted the research of the ultraviolet detection field with the intrinsic advantage of the high resolution, tiny linearity, the large detecting range.
