The World Space Observatory–Ultraviolet (WSO-UV) is a space telescopeproject led by Russia, with contributions from a number of other countries in theworld. There are three loads: High Resolution double echelle spectrograph, Long SlitSpectrograph and high space resolution imager. In the mission, Long SlitSpectrograph instrument will provide resolution spectra in the range102-320nm, thestudy of which is ongoing in China. The Ultraviolet photo counting imaging detectorbased on micro channel plate and wedge and strip anode is adopted in this paper, bynoting the coordinates of the single photon, which was caught by anode, andaccumulate these coordinates for a cycle to get an image. It has many merits, such aslow background noise, high detection quantum efficiency, high signal and noise ratio,photon-counting sensitivity, long range, large format, radiation tolerance, high spaceresolution and time resolution, so it is fit for being used in earth space detection.Electronic readout circuit is crucial of the photo counting imaging system, whosemain task is filter and shaping the signals from anode. Electronic readout circuitsystem for the Ultraviolet imaging detector is designed and fabricated in this thesis.Firstly we described the working principle of the photon counting imaging system,analyzed the process of imaging and introduced constitutes of the imager system.Then we mainly introduce the design progress of the electronic readout circuit,analyze working principles and constitutes of electronic readout circuit, including thecharge sensitive preamplifier,shaping amplifier and peak holding circuitry, andintroduce hardware designing, chips selecting, PCB designing and so on. Lastlyshowed test waves of the circuit and dynamic experiment result by using photocounting imaging detector. The experimental results are presented and analyzed atlast.
