Traditional network is connection-oriented and mainly focus on equipment, protocols, and network management. And the network is rely on equipment manufacturers to develop devices. With traditional network exposed many problems and with the need of Internet cloud computing and the big data, there is a new network architecture SDN, namely software defined networks.To meet the need of network and to follow the SDN tide, H3C network equipment company bases on its own its traditional device to research and support openflow protocol. They have developed its own SDN controller VCF. VCF controller is implemented using virtualization to solve the situation of traditional network applications with isolated network through centralized controlling, as well as VCF cloud compute and provide virtual technology. This paper mainly uses VCF controller under the SDN architecture, separating plane and the data plane using the control-oriented applications,to provide a programmable interface to ensure end to end service and achieve integration and utilization of system resource.This paper mainly researches and analysis the controlling performance of the VCF controller to the network devices.First,it need to do analysis about the system. Then, the performance of the controlling will get by making black box test on the base of testtexts and will compare the performance with the controller of Opendalight. Before testing,we need to make research about SDN architecture and the OpenFlow protocol. Then we will make analysis about how the VCF controller manages the network devices on the base of VCF controller’s factors. The test is divided into functional testing and performance testing.Functional testing focuses on how to use OpenFlow protocol to guide the controller to exchange information with network equipment under the guidance of the flow table. According to the information exchanged process between Controller and the switch, the projects will make test,inside of the link and node management, the VCFs ability to controle network equipment with the flow table, test method involved into causal diagram method, decision tables method. We should know that the devices is SR66 based on Comware V7 system.The performance testing includes the max number of network device which controller supported, the packet-in packets and packet-out packet rate which uesed between the controller and device, the performance under the full configuration of flow table, and the stress test. Because of supporting two forwards, the test process need to pay attention to equipment used in the traditional forwarding or forwarding OpenFIow flow table. Because Comware V7 is a new network platform, so the whole system is necessary to achieve this on a clear grasp of the product.Then the test need to combine the feafure of this system products with the feature of VCF.
