In an increasingly complex electromagnetic environments, electromagnetic compatibility gets to be an important indicator to the equipment and electronic products, which should be paid more attention to. Whether the electromagnetic compatibility ability is excellent good enough for the device or some system has a deep impact directly on the performance of the device, the normal operation of the system. Therefore, a good research on the electromagnetic compatibility to all kinds of device in reality is of great significance. And the electromagnetic shielding is one of the important methods of electromagnetic compatibility. So in reality, making an appropriate research on the electromagnetic shielding is great necessary.This article is mainly to do some research for the electromagnetic shielding in the following aspects: the electromagnetic shielding cavity design about the aperture the electromagnetic pulse excitation signal impact on the shielding effectiveness and the choice about material as the electromagnetic shielding cavity. Firstly, focus on the theoretical studies about electromagnetic shielding. Focusing primarily on the basic ideology of the numerical calculation methods and their application environment. Secondly, the next section introduces the apertures’ and effects for the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness in detail. Give an accurately paper on the apertures’ physical properties about the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness using the same electromagnetic pulse as the system excitation. Taking a further step to discuss the design of the aperture in the shield cavity has an influence on the shielding effectiveness. And the simulation results show that a reasonable set of apertures will make a great influence on the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness. Thirdly, put the electromagnetic pulse as the excitation source. There mainly descript the strong electromagnetic pulse signal characteristics qualitatively and do comparison with three kinds of electromagnetic pulse signal about their advantages and disadvantages in theory. Furthermore, do simulation using CST and analysis its influence on the shielding cavity with some apertures; get the law about the electromagnetic fields basic distribution about the shielding cavity with apertuers using strong electromagnetic pulse signals. Finally, mainly form the direction of the shielding material, analysis the shielding effectiveness with the carbon fiber. Obtaining the advantage of carbon fiber as the shielding cavity’s material.This paper does analysis that the detailed annlysis on the apertuers coupling by strong electromagnetic pulse in three directions, the excitation source, the structural design and the materials, which has a great reference valus on the shielding cavity design in the future.
