Research On The Legal Regulation Of The Freedom Of Speech On The Internet

Freedom of speech is a basic political rights and freedom of citizens, this kind of rights enshrined in many national laws, our Constitution clearly states that the people are entitled to freedom of speech. With the development of the network, freedom of speech found a new way to implementation,freedom of speech on the Internet get a very widely use and exercise,it leads a profound impact to our social life. As the influence of freedom of speech on the internet to the political,economic,cultural and other community is growing with each passing day, there are also growing calls to protect or limit the freedom speech on the Internet. This paper expounds that the Internet is a tool to achieve the freedom of speech, freedom of speech on the Internet is a kind of freedom of speech in the legal sense indeed. In this paper, through analysis the content,features and values of the freedom of speech on the internet, and in the perspective of China’s current special operation-"Against Internet rumors", and combine theoretical principles and practical experience concerning freedom of speech at home and abroad, as well as the status of legislation of the freedom of speech on the internet, author try to clear the existing problems, propose reasonable solutions principles and specific measures.
