Since the conception of "cloud computing" was put forward in 2006, it quickly became one of most hot research spot in IT field and is attracting more and more attention of the industry and the academic. After about 6 years of development, cloud computing rapid development at home and abroad. Cloud computing to get further development also needs to address a number of critical issues; cloud security was undoubtedly the most important problem. With the continuous promotion of cloud computing applications, the importance of security issues increasingly upward trend. Cloud security has become the primary factor restricting further development of cloud computing. The initiators (Google, Amazon) constantly broke security incidents exacerbated concerns about cloud computing. In 2009, for example, Amazon EC2 was blocking service attacks, Google e-mail service interruption. Therefore, let the corporate mass adoption of cloud computing platforms, enterprise data safely on the cloud, must first solve the security issues facing cloud computing.laaS cloud service providers usually provide a separate virtual machine for the user to provide the service, cloud users super user to remotely manage virtual machine. Provides a virtual machine is conducive to reduce the Cloud users IT costs, improve the cloud provider resource utilization and management capabilities, and this way there are also many security problems. Due to the relatively cheap and easy to create virtual machines, users often create different virtual machines for different tasks. In addition, users can clone, snapshot, and can even be rolled back to a previous state. Although this features to provide users with a great deal of flexibility, they became a huge security risk of cloud platforms. For example, a virtual machine to roll back, again appeared before the security vulnerabilities. And there will be a growing number of virtual machines, this phenomenon is known as the spread of virtual machines, Management and software update patch makes the virtual machine is very time-consuming task. Cloud provider virtual machine system update tasks to the cloud users responsible for their own the cloud customers expect suppliers to accomplish this task. Therefore, a large number of virtual machines (running or dormant) did not apply the latest software patches for vulnerabilities. And timely apply the latest patches for the systems and procedures effective protection against the latest security threats, improve system security.This paper presents solutions for image security issues. First proposed the virtual machine image file management security policy based on the mechanism of the filter, the policy can be dynamically increase or remove the filter provides scalable security management for virtual machine image file management. Then analyzed offline update patch technology virtual machine image files in the cloud environment, there are four challenges for these four challenges to update patch critical filter design and implements of the virtual machine image file offline.
