Nowadays, it has been an age of global information age and the internet appears in every corner of our lives. With the continuous development of multimedia technology, multimedia business also as people’s increasing demand, the users preserve in pursuit of high speed, large capacity network. The future communication network will develop to large capacity and ultra-high speed.From the current technology of view, optical communication networks combination Optical time-division multiplexing(OTDM) and wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) can meet the requirements of the large capacity and high transmission rate. Time-division multiplexing technology usually adopt non-return-zero(RZ) format, commonly used in backbone. WDM technology commonly use return-zero code(NRZ) format, commonly used in metropolitan area network and access network. It needs a type converter for the conversion of data type format when it transmits among backbone network, metropolitan area network and access network.In order to break the bottleneck of low data type format conversion rate of traditional electronic components. Here, we study a new transformation scheme. Based on the conversion technology of micro-nano optical fiber ring resonator from zero code to the zero type code. The main work of this paper is as follow:(1) On the basis of widely consult literature at home and abroad, make a comprehensive comparison of the current form of RZ to NRZ code conversion. Introduce the characteristics, application and development of RZ to NRZ type conversion based on micro-nano optical fiber ring resonator(MRR) and put forward the practical significance of this topic research(2) Application of FDTD is used to analyze the coupling characteristics of micro-nano optical fiber ring resonator. Discuss the type parallel micro-nano optical fiber ring resonator coupling and curved coupling properties of micro-nano optical fiber ring resonator.(3) Expound the principle RZ to NRZ type conversion based on the MRR and propose the mathematical model of conversion RZ to NRZ type based on MRR. According to this model, the influence of the MRR filtering characteristics on RZ to NRZ type conversion and corresponding design method is given.(4) Make use of optisystem and matlab software to make simulated computation of 20 Gbps and 40 Gbps zero code into a non zero code and give a characteristic curve of RZ to NRZ code conversion. Make the comparison and analysis with the conversion of the traditional method, and the analysis results show that this design got obvious improvement in the following aspects:① In the process of RZ to NRZ code conversion, the bit rate type can be tuned, and thebit is transparent;② Realize multichannel conversion at the same time.Thesis research with the combination of optical time division multiplexing(OTDM) and wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) technology in optical communication network has larger improvement in conversion type rate. Provide certain reference basis for the construction of the network for future optical communication network.
