Cooperative diversity enables single-antenna mobiles to share their antennas and generate a virtual multiple-antenna transmitter that could achieve transmit diversity to combat the multipath fading in wireless channels, and improve the uplink channel performance efficiently. The thesis mainly investigates on coded cooperation in wireless communication.First, the principle and main protocols of cooperative diversity are outlined, of which coded cooperation protocol is investigated on the system model and performance simulation. One of the main drawbacks of RCPC coded cooperation schemes is that additional incremental code bits are not in general self decodable. That is the decoder must rely on both the initially transmitted packet as well as the additional incremental code bits for decoding. In situations where a packet can be severely damaged as a result of interference, the performance cannot be as good as usual. So, in this paper,we present a new coded cooperation scheme using Complementary Punctured Convolutional Code(CPC) to solve this problem. Then, the CPC coded cooperation protocol’s system model and its performance simulation is investiaged. At last, the network coding is introduced to the prosed scheme to improve the performance:A network coded cooperation model based on convolutional codes is presented, which would transmit more information with algebraic superposition of codes and without increasing power or channel resources; the LDGM(Low-Density Generator Matrix) codes are introduced to establish a new CPC coded cooperative diversity model based on network coding, and decoding algorithm at the destination is improved corresponding to the new codes. Also,wo present a new way to find the perfoation matrixs for the new scheme. The LDGM scheme provides a potential application for cooperation system with long codes, which have good performance near the Shannon Limit.
