With the effectively solving the bottleneck of So C(System-on-Chip),No C(Network-on-Chip) has become a hot research topic, The network latency of No C is an important indicator of performance evaluation. Reduce network average delay is one of the most important goals in No C design How to reduce the network latency and achieve good network performance at lower cost, has very important significance.Traditional delay optimization methods, mainly include topology, routing algorithm and Mapping algorithms, etc. This paper presents a new method for delay optimization: Based on deterministic routing algorithm, according to the amount of data in each communication node, identify the nodes which likely to occur congestion. Then based on node position, locally increasing network bandwidth, reduce network busy node, relieve congestion, thereby reducing the average latency network. For verification, we use OPNET to model No C with Mesh topology and different routing algorithms,. Simulation results show that this method can significantly improve the delay performance of the No C network with low cost, and has some versatility. The main work of this paper is as follows:1.For Mesh topology, based on XY routing algorithm and OE routing algorithm, set up a two-dimensional 8 × 8 No C scale network model from the process layer, node layer and network layer.2. For No C model with XY routing algorithm, Simulation in the case of network bandwidth sufficient, analysis the number and place of busy nodes link according the amount of data in each link.3. According to the simulation results, without changing the routing algorithm, the paper proposes a method of local increasing bandwidth to reduce the network delay. Contrasting the performance before and after bandwidth increasing, this method can effectively reduce the average network latency, and the implementation process is simple, small price. Repeatedly to change the amount of network data, Contrast the performance before and after bandwidth increasing, The result shows that, this method achieves better performance of network delay than traditional methods. in the different amount of data.4. Under the situation of same amount of data, Contrasting the performance of this method and models based on OE routing algorithm. The results showed that our method achieves better delay performance than OE routing algorithm in a certain range of data amount.
