MANETs is an autonomous system which consists of a group of wireless mobile nodes. It’s a network system which does not need to rely on the existing fixed network communications infrastructure, and it can start to be used quickly and required minimal manual intervention. MANETs doesn’t have center network entity, it’s self-organizing and self-healing. Each of the network nodes is collaborated and communicating with each other through the wireless link. The network node in MANETs can dynamically and optionally join or exit the network without prior notice and warning frequently, at the same time these behaviors would hardly damage the communication of other network in this network. The features of MANETs includes: the equivalence of network, the node is nomadic, and the bandwidth is limited, the link capacity is variable, the topology of network may be changed randomly rapidly and unpredictably, the node equipment is varied and regulated by a number of its features such as battery energy and equipment processing capacity, and it’s more susceptible to physical security threats than the fixed network.There are many key technical problems in MANETs, and in this paper we will discuss the physic layer processing on the actual software ratio platform. The main reference of MANETs in physic layer is the existed wireless LAN standard such as IEEE802.11 series, Bluetooth and Hiper LAN. The main work of this paper includes: presents a realization scheme of MANETs which is based on hardware from software radio and according to the characteristics of MANETs; design the MANETs node framework and function modulation which is based on software radio system; discuss the structure of transceiver system for MANETs and mainly analysis the DC suppression algorithm and the synchronous algorithm; design the physical layer power control and frequency management for this MANETs node platform; test for each function module and verified the correctness and rationality of the platform; provides correctly physical layer processing and related test for designer to complete upper layer development of MANETs.We build a test system with software radio node platform and Sora platform, and analyze the performance of the physic design in diverse test conditions. The design of MANETs physic layer in this paper is efficient and reasonable, and can provide a stable and reliable function in physic transmission.
