Design And Implement Of Functional Test Software For Android Cellphone Application

With the rapid development of mobile Internet technology, the application market of smart phones has formed a very large scale, and is expected to be enlarged in the future. As the result of development boom, the test quality of Apps is becoming the focus of attention. Taking the repeated functional tests after App’s upgrade into account, this project plans to achieve functional test software based on recording and replaying, which aims to overcome the drawbacks of manual test. What’s more, this software is designed for the Android applications, and server the small and medium software enterprises.First, this project presents a test process which is based on the scripted test cases. Then, combining the Android platform, we analysis the key techniques of the test process, which includes the UI acquisition, communications between PCs and mobile terminals, event simulations, script applications and so on. Based on this work, we propose the framework and process of our software, and descript the designs of the main modules. Third, we present the detail implementations, including emulator on PC, recording, replay, and verifications and so on. Finally, we introduce the test for the software designed by us, and utilize the software to test Android Apps.The software proposed in the project is oriented to Android applications, and has the feature of multiple executions with only one recording. To some extent, our software can reduce the workload for testers, improve the test efficiency, and may satisfy the requirements of the small and medium software enterprises with relatively higher practical value. Meanwhile, we have packaged the commonly used operations into APIs for the software reuse. Additionally, the pattern of recording and replaying can act as a reference for the development of the similar test software.
