With the rapid development of automatic control and computer and electrical and electronic technology, the automatic control device of PLC based on the microprocessor combined communication and automatic control has been an important technology of modern industrial automatic control, being used more and more widely.Based on the exploitation of PLC project training platform which is constructed through CAN, the author does some research about the following aspects:1.As the core of PLC device, training project-flat is established for teaching. It can realize networking training platform with multi PLC networked. CAN-based network project training platform of PLC is the basis to achieve PLC networking experimental.On this platform, it can be PLC networking, electrical control and software design, and other training programs.2.The paper presents the development of PLC, tendency of network and prospect. It also analyzes the relative merits of traditional experimental platform in teaching and the possibility of introducing project teaching method into PLC practical training.3.The paper analyzes the demands of course outline, combines some common and appropriate examples in production practice as the carrier of project training. In the paper, the author designs the practice training projects and divides the practice skills into three levels step by step.4. The paper studies the technical features of practice platform based on CAN, which makes connection and control between PC and PLC by constructing network, communication mode, controlling port and designing joint.5.PLC project training platform based on CAN are used in controlling tool storage system, which combines theory study of PLC technology with practice. Thus makes the students fully practiced during designing, improving, installation, programming, controlling and adjusting. And experiment result will be more intuitive.
