Recently, with the rapid development of space techniques, space communication network has achieved great development. Satellite technology is the key techniques for space communication network. The satellite is a kind of high investment,high benefit,high technology and high risk products.Therefore,it is necessary to build a comprehensive virtual simulation software of real-time,high degree of simulation,good effect of test and other performance to complete the satellite research test,evaluation and improvement,and then to improve satellite technology. And space communication network is completely different from various communication network on the ground.Because of its complex composition,special environment,node changes frequently and its unstable topology,research on space communication network have great difficulty.It also needs to reflect the comprehensive,accurate and real space network using a good performance simulation software.And now there isn’t a complete performance simulation software can meet these requirement.So we combine two simulation software EXATA and STK that have excellent performance to constant a new spatial network virtual simulation platform.First of all, the development and characteristics of the spatial network and the classification of satellite are introduced in detail.Secondly, the characteristics of routing technology that is the key links of satellite are introduced,and selected representative routing protocol AODV algorithm to introduces the technology and process of protocol.then the basic theory of space satellite are introduced,in order to build the satellite orbit and constellation design reasonable.Finally build a space satellite network virtual simulation platform using two software EXATA and STK.The simulation platform is constructed by EXATA and STK together can play the advantage of two software, and mutually make up for their lack of.STK has more advantages in building orbit model than other software,but because it only construct on physical layer link model, not capable to build model of all kinds of network protocols in simulation, while the EXATA can achieve high accuracy in the simulation of communication network protocol to make up for the inadequacy of STK.The simulation platform using two software set up jointly has good characteristics that the structure is more reasonable,the simulation is more realistic and parameters is more effective.In addition to using the platform can be used in physical simulation that can let the real world access to the virtual network or make the virtual network access to the internet,Thus it greatly enhances the platform’s scalability and real-time interaction.Finally, we construct a spatial network and reflect the advantages of the virtual simulation platform by the analysis and data of simulation.
