Phased array radar antenna has been widely applied in military and civil radar systems recently. Due to the complexity of phased array radar, it is a big challenge to overcome the time and difficulty of phased array antenna measurement. Therefore phased array antenna test platform construction is necessary for radar research institute.In this dissertation, research background and general situation of recent domestic and international research is introduced at first. Phased array antenna index system is presented, design procedure is proposed and test process and test method is given then. Finally, the whole test system with antenna sampling, calibration and near-field scan system is constructed. System hardware, test field, operation principal and software process is analyzed.System hardware for sampling, calibration and near field test is composed of 2D planar scanning frame, PNA, system controller. Control computer is used to connect all the devices by LAN/USB/COM port protocol.Software process consists of antenna sampling, calibration and near field test. The program has realized test data share, hardware device share to improve test efficiency, accuracy, and device use rate.The whole system has the ability of data sampling, display, storage, analysis and data processing. Phased array antenna far field pattern and near field phase pattern can be plotted. According to variety of test requirement, test report can be generated automatically with high test accuracy.
