Planning and design of AGV vehicle route mainly based on GPS positioning and navigation technology is the main task of this study.The article includes many parts.It introduces GPS technology and the way to apply it to the AGV vehicle.It clarifies how to use algorithms to improve the accuracy of GPS navigation and improve its reliability by combining GPS DR. It theoretically analyzes and studies the planning problem of AGV vehicle route.It establishes the electronic map and the topological structure of the road on the experimental site(Xi’an campus of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology). It applies classical path planning algorithm Dijkstra into the actual path planning and obtains the expected effect. It builds the software platform for AGV car based on GPS navigation. Specifically it develops visualization software of electronic map platform path planning by using C# language. In the article, the algorithm of Dijkstra was written into the software for the running path planning of AGV based on GPS navigation on the test site. Finally the article discusses the extendibility of path planning algorithm for different path planning of corresponding software in different environments.The article focuses on studying and developing visualization software for path planning based on the technology of GPS. In the Windows platform, it develops a kind of special path planning software for GPS unmanned guided vehicles by applying the visual studio2010 as the tool and C# language as programming language.The software adopts online and cache way to display the administrative map. The electronic road map of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology Xi’an campus will be generated by inputing the collected Shaanxi University of Science and Technology Xi’an campus vehicle road coordinate data and topological structure into software. It will bethe actual test object of path planning in the paper. The classical shortest path algorithm Dijkstra,which is written into programs by using C# language is used in our experiment. This software can realize the path planingfrom the specified starting point to the end point for each time.And the planned route will be outputted on the electronic map through changing the line color. The electronic map in the software is created completely according to the actual geographic coordinates, so it has the characteristics of good scalability and accuracy. In one word, the software is an excellent solution strategy for establishment and path planning of GPS navigation electronic map.
