Design And Implementation Of Examination Management System Based On Hibernate And Struts

Currently, more effective means of selection and training of personnel is still a test, so the test is very important in the management of various institutions. But in the traditional way, test management rely on manual to complete at a low efficiency,and with the development of the school, the subject is increasing, the number of students rose, so the task of teaching and management is bound to increase, repeated examination personnel workload will be increased, working error rate also increased accordingly. Meanwhile, with the development of computer hardware and Internet technology continues to improve, so that the examination management information rapidly accelerating the pace of teaching management,tools put forward new demands. As a result,the reform of the traditional exam management is imperative.This paper is based on the background of my college’s exam management, then use the Struts and Hibernate B/S architecture, combined with examination of scientific management, standardization, information technology, through the transformation of the existing test management to achieve exam security network management, thereby regulate every aspect of the exam work, reduce repetition rate academic staff work on a variety of information and data reports intact, to promote the teaching management to a high level.First, we the investigate to the existing test management and propose the weak point and the current status abroad. The management in our school still in a handmade situation. It is a simple way like WORD or EXCEL which have a lot of work, have low level information and efficiency and more mistake.Second, based on the existing Internet technology background, we proposed development plan based on Struts and Hibernate about the exam management system. We discuss about the software architecture, and analyze the advantages and the disadvantage about the B/S and C/S, then we decide to choose the B/S architecture. And we discuss the Struts’ framework and Hibernate, describes the effective integration of Struts and Hibernate.Third, We analyze the examination management system clearly, providing remote access, exam management, the management before exam, the management after the exam, information browsing and system maintenance functions for test management participants. And complete the report generating, exporting, printing function which facilitate educational administration, teachers and students understand the exam-related information in time.Fourth, We use open-source framework Struts and Hibernate model design to complete the exam management system online. And describe the software architecture configuration and presentation layer, control layer and the implementation of the model layers.Examination Management System based on Hibernate and Struts model is not limited by the operating system, and has a lot of advantages like easy-to-maintain, flexible structure, user-friendly, and good scalability which greatly improving the management efficiency. It make the exam management online and improve the management of the exam effectively.
