Since the China’s entering into the WTO,Market Economy has been constantly perfected,and the competition in the industry is becoming more and more fierce.Modern society has beame a society of information technology,the development and application of information technology has been the key factor which will decide whether any enterprise has the vitality and competitiveness or not.To make deeper analysis of the current large amounts of environmental related data in storage so as to provide fast,accurate decision-making support for the enterprise has been the hot topic of each industry.This thesis designs the supermarket management system based on data mining, aiming to explore the possibility of the application of data mining technology in providing effective analysis tool to the supermarket managers,by using historical data accumulated in the process of the supermarket business,we can find out useful information for management,and provide some better decision in the supermarket management system,so as to increase profits and competitiveness.This thesis researches on the application background and present situation of data mining technology,analyzes the model of data mining technology in the supermarket management system.According to detailed investigation and user needs analysis,it can finalize the functional modules of supermarket management system consists of the purchase and returns of goods management,inventory management, sales management, staff management, and the system management.The data mining technology in the commodity category management module and merchandise sales management module can help users to find out the potential association and the important degree of commodity category of goods between the inner value,so it has effectively helped the supermarket managers to make wise decisions. Compared with the traditional system,this system practices the model system of data mining technology,so it has higher practicability.To enhance the market competition,this thesis is a useful experiment for the practical of data mining technology in the supermarket management system,hoping to explore new ideas for the supermarket managers.
