With the development of embedded technology, infrared thermal image technology and multimedia technology, and these used in the automotive field, safety driving assist system has become the trend of future development.Nowadays the safety driving assist system is applied in the field of advanced car. The application has not been obtained in ordinary vehicles. A scheme of researching safety driving assist system based on Embedded Software was put forward in this paper. Image acquisition and infrared image processing were infrared in the designed system.The design of target system principles are stared in the paper, and specific functional requirements are put forward, and the design scheme of the system is given. The development of safety driving assist system based on S3C6410JZF-S is achieved in the subject, and the desigen of hardware and software are introduced.The infrared camera module, LCD display module, power supply module, SD card module and USB interface module are included in the hardware design.Two aspects of system software and application software are designed in the part of software. The development environment of Linux system, the transplantation of USB camera driver and the Linux kernel cutting are introduced in the part of system software. The infrared video image acquisition part and infrared image processing part are included in the design of the application software. By calling the V4L2 application programing interface(API) functions, so as the infrared camera video image data acquisition and the Qt interface display function are realized. The collected infrared images can be processed with graying, binaryzation, median filtering, image edge detection and image enhancement.After comparison of the two methods of image enhancement, the method of histogram equalization is chosen to enhance the image in this paper. The combined method of Canny operator and threshold segmentation is adopted to image edge detection. Once the the application code has been compiled completely, it will be loaded on OK6410 development board. Click the button on the QT interface, to verify the realized function of the infrared video image displaying and image processing of this system.
