Previous researches saw the increasing spring out of reality shows which imported copyrights from other countries, especially the Korea. According to analysis of WTD,the typical example of television shows, which imported from Korea and localized by ourselves can provide us a novel model and television program style for others reality shows on certain degrees. What’s more, each story has some truth behind, the same goes with television programs. Symbolic code and its function are not just constructing the story by using the basic structure of the narrative, but also closely related with each other so as to achieve the excellent performance effect. In terms of the truth behind the story, it is the ultimate goal of storytelling. In this era, the explosive information seen everywhere, it is particularly important that how to disseminate more meaningful values. Although compared to the original TV show, Where are we traveling for, Dad? is quite suitable for outputting the values, but it would be boring that tell the story within a fixed model every time. Therefore, television storytelling connected to the central value of society, which touches people’s emotion and soul, is the key to a successful television program. In addition, narrative model in long-term is introduced to the Where are we traveling for, Dad?. Its novelty lies in the implements of exchanging two main narrative identities, which refers to the shift from the star and his son or daughter to the common people of the lower social status, especially in rural areas. The stars are concerned that whether they can complete these tasks in extreme environments, while the audience pay attention to the stars behavior in order to deal with those difficult tasks. The new point of view, on one hand satisfies the desire of audiences and on the other hand, enhance the relationship between the father and the child. What’s more, we can find that the same participants in next season not only meet the long-term attention of audiencestowards the star families, but also can evoke better memories therefore, appeal the audience attention constantly. In other words, the familiar participants of television program are inseparable to maintain audience attention to its development.
