With the continuous progress of technology, people’s living standard gradually increases and the consumption structure is changing. Nowadays, people pay more attention to health; fitness exercise is becoming more and more popular in people’s life, so as to the fitness club has become an emerging industry in the city. Fitness club industry becomes the indispensable Chinese national industry to improve people’s physical quality, and it gradually evolved into the main place of people’s entertainment after work. At present, the fitness industry has huge market potential, people urgently needs a management system that has outstanding performance in design. As well, it must be easy to use, easy to manage and easy to upgrades for information management. It should not only meet the need of the current management of the fitness club, but also be convenient for function expansion following business needs. With it, we can reduce the cost of management, improve work efficiency, and meet the need of club manager and member. Not only that, large amounts of data produced with the arrival of the information era, and these data are naturally produced in reality, representative and very high research value. To analyze and study these data can often bring correct guidance in scientific and commercial activities. And decision maker adjust the strategy according it, with less risk probably. People try extracting valuable information from these data, and data mining technology become hot. After recent years of development, data mining technologies has been gradually applied to various fields of the society, such as customer purchase behavior prediction, analysis of DNA, the risk management of financial institutions etc. That brings great scientific research and commercial value.This thesis detailed introduced the whole process of the development of fitness club information management system, from the development background, needs analysis, feasibility study, and preliminary design to detailed design. The system is based on powerful SQL Server database technology, using the B/S structure mode. I choose Java Server Pages (JSP) technology to develop this system. Function of the system has the advantages of simple operation and friendly interface, satisfying the basic needs of daily business processing in fitness club.Amount of fitness club business management system is currently developed, but most of them are no more than dealing with daily business. But in this thesis, I introduce a system characterized by the function of forecasting membership renewal using the data mining technology of decision tree algorithm. Firstly, decision maker select several attributes which has influence on renewal from membership information as test attribute through empirical analysis. Then choose some few sample data from renewal records of recent year information in database, structure the decision tree according to the C4.5 classification algorithm and extract classification rules with it. Finally we make prediction to justify which member will renew according to rules. According to the prediction results, club management personnel formulate the corresponding strategy to keep the source of customer, maintain customer relationship, and improve the membership service experience and maximally avoid membership loss, and develop new customers as well. Obviously, the system can provide powerful support to the development of fitness club.
