With the rapid development of economics and people’s living standards further improved, people pay much more attention to their own health and pursue for a healthier lifestyle. People have not only satisfied with the food, clothing and entertainment. The proposal of wearable smart devices provided a new way for people to pursue for a healthier lifestyle. It becomes more and more acceptable to analysis data transmitted by the wearable smart devices, when people are in sleep and doing exercise.Based on the above background, this paper discussed the design and implementation of smart health watch. The health applications on top level of the smart health watch was introduced on the highlights. The hardware architecture design and software architecture design of smart health watch were presented at the same time. The needs of watch define the hardware features and software features from the reality. The hardware features include:through a standard micro USB2.0 interface for charging watch; blue tooth for communications; if we press the only one button on the watch with a long time, we can switch the machine; if we press the only one button on the watch with a short time, we can switch the screen; screen on the watch can show the health data to users and motor in the watch can alter users by vibration at a critical time. Software features are divided into two modules:motion detection and sleep detection. Users can watch the statistics that day/week/month the total number of steps, the total distance in the movement and the total consumption of calories under the motion detection mode. The statistics that day/ week/month the total time of sleep, deep sleep time, mild sleep time and sleep quality can also be shown under the motion detection mode. Watch side also needs to send health data to the APP of the mobile phone.In the specific design and realization process, selections of hardware components and architectures of hardware need to satisfy the functional requirements. After the design of hardware, we completed the design and implementation of embedded software. According to the embedded software stratification theory, the software part of the smart health watch is divided into four layers:Bootloader layer, Linux kernel layer, file system layer and user application layer. All this four layers were designed and analyzed in this paper. But we focused on the design and analysis of the health applications on user application layer. The introduction of the health application include:software requirement analysis, functional architecture design, software architecture design, database design and final coding and testing. In short, users can get the health data and choose a more healthier lifestyle by using the smart health watch.The development process of the Smart Health Watch is based on the traditional embedded device development steps. The paper describes the process of design and implementation of embedded software in the uppermost health applications in detail. Since the Smart Health Watch equipped with the Android smartphone operating system, so this healthy application is actually a program in Android system. After the realization of the smart Health Watch, users can get their data in real-time motion and sleep by using the health application on Smart Health Watch. These data provides a scientific and accurate reference, for the user to choose a healthy lifestyle, meanwhile mobilize the users to actively participate in the movement. Promote the user for a healthy pursuit.
