Hyatt Hotels Corporation is a famous hotel corporation of the world. To manage, franchise, own and develop Hyatt Hotels, resorts, residential and holiday industry all over the world. Although the daily management of all hotels has been achieved the global unified network management for a long time, but fixed assets management, equipment management and circulating assets management for the hotel is still in a scattered management process, is involved with many departments. There is no complete unity operating system. In order to solve this situation, we design and develop the Hyatt hotel asset maintenance information management system, implement the asset allocation, fund approval process, to realize the unification of the fixed assets management for hotels.This paper makes detailed description of the whole design and development process of the hotel asset maintenance information management system. Firstly, analyzes the background of system and the current status, development trend overseas and domestic. And then base on the requirement analysis to establish the goal of the system, running environment, function and technical architecture. Makes detailed description of the whole design and development process of the key modules. Finally, the whole system is passed the final test and developed completed in the strict testing environment.This system adopts B/S structure, based on Oracle application development framework (ADF) to develop. Strictly following the establishing project-the requirement analysis - system design - coding - test - release. And standardize development process by CMMI. Implement the asset allocation of funds (iCaps) and funds to apply and for approval (iCapsEx) two functions. Implement data access, process management, rights management, exception management and record operating logs, and other functions.This system achieves the unification of the hotel equipment maintenance information management by nine modules which are the assets acceptance, maintenance of assets input, submit for approval, create commitment, payment management, update budget and cash flow, hotel basic information maintenance, user rights maintenance, report creation and printing. On the security, system adopts single sign-on to create user to enhance system security. System to make the login user privilege limited within the Hyatt employees. Users must pass the Hyatt group authentication firstly, and then can pass the hotel asset maintenance information management system’s authentication.After the system online, the system has achieved the rapid, comprehensive hotel information collection, information processing and save a lot of resources. Especially the system can create two kinds of reports between the local currency and the dollar; make it easier for data comparison. And the data are transparency for user, to make the headquarters staff manage the asset unify and monitor system real-time. The system can make the fun allocation more clear and provide scientific basis for the decision-making.
