In recent years, the technology of virtual reality, human-computer interaction and stereo display technologies have a great improvement. They have been widely used in the game, health care, education, sports, film and television, media, and other fields. Especially with the increased levels of social modernization, people’s live entertainment and cultural requirements are also increasing, so the X-D theater systems that are the fusion of these technologies have emerged. Existed XD theater systems usually lack of multi-user interaction, and the 3D stereoscopic display technology offers pictures drawn based on a single point of view, which caused the lack of realism. Among them, the most popular 7D virtual shooting theater allows users to participate in the interaction with imitation guns, but the audience is fixed on the seat, and the simulation guns are expensive and lack of interactive experience.In this paper, we introduce a novel two-view VR shooting theater system that allows players to move freely. Users can enjoy the real-time scene images which rendered based on their viewing angle by wearing customized stereoscopic glasses. The two scene images are projected onto the same screen and both of them covered the entire screen. The user can move freely within the allowable range. The system renders multiple 3D images of the same scene in real-time based on the position of the user, and users can enjoy the individual images by wearing a specific refresh rate active shutter glasses.The system also uses a series of Kinect to tracking the location, shooting recognition system to control the shooting, making interaction more natural and fun. Kinects work collaborative to offer real-time location data which processed through a unified coordinate transformation and coordinate correction. Kinects solve the limited number of people, and it solve the question of blocking each other between multiple people. Multiplayer shooting recognition system uses a homemade wireless infrared simulation guns as the interactive tools, it provides different shooting positions and shot ID using pattern recognition and analysis algorithms to solve the problem of unfree moving and expensive.
