The Design And Implementation Of Multi-Terminal HD Video Broadcast System Based On Campus Network

With continuous development of CERNET, the campus network infrastructure has been significantly improved. Various applications of the campus network provide convenience in life, scientific research and instruction for teachers and students. In order to enrich their school life and provide a better web experience for them, as well as to make a better use of resources of the campus network, developing innovative application for multi platform has become the focus of the current development of the campus network. The video broadcast system has played an important role.The existing campus video broadcast system uses MMS protocol as transmission protocol, which belongs to Microsoft privately. Every time when users use the system, they need to start the Microsoft Media Player, which is not convenient for users who use other operating systems. Meanwhile, the Microsoft Media Player 11 and the later versions will not support MMS protocol. This will bring inconvenience for updating in the future. With the coverage and popularity of campus wireless network, intelligent mobile phone has high rate of utilization, but the existing campus video broadcast system doesn’t support the mobile terminal. For the above disadvantages, this paper designs and implements a new video broadcast system which supports mobile terminal and multi-platform.On the base of deep research on video broadcast technology, this paper uses Nginx as the server and RTMP as the transmission protocol. At the same time, this paper uses HLS to support mobile terminal, as well as implementing database module, video wall monitoring module and other management modules.
