With the development of automation control technology and communication technology, industrial lighting system based on field bus is becoming more and more applied. The industrial field bus is characterized by high efficiency, security and stability, while the Ethernet has the advantages of speed, management and interaction. In this paper, the Ethernet TCP/IP is applied to the information management of the lighting control system via an embedded intelligent gateway between Ethernet and field bus. This achieves the information integration of both nets reasonably and effectively, so as to enhance the convenience and safety of industrial lighting system management.On the basis of investigation and reserch for the application background and the development of the interaction between the fieldbus and information network, this paper plans and designs the embedded intelligent gateway implementation and functions, analyses deeply the Ethernet with TCP/IP protocol and the Modbus protocol network, and makes the network planning for the embedded gateway function application.On the basis of using 32-bit ARM core processor STM32F107VCT6, this paper designs the embedded intelligent gateway hardware including analysis of the processor, Ethernet module, RS485 module and power supply and design of the schematic and PCB.It debelops the software which applies TCP/IP network protocol and Modbus application protocol on the hardware platform and the data cache and interactive function. It also debelops a PC software which can monitor and control the embedded Modbus intelligent gateway, and optimizes both the embedded software and the PC software considering the characteristics of the industrial lighting system. At last, a communication experiment model is built, the communication of the intelligent gateway and the PC, the network of the lighting controller and the other subsidiary functions are tested.The work mentioned above realizes the acquisition and configuration of the Modbus-485 operating parameters via Ethernet network, and the independent inspection, update, and alarm functionsof the intelligent gateway. And thus, it gives the realization sample of the lighting control system network, lays the foundation for the development and application of the Ethernet industrial lighting system, and has a reference significance to the actual project implementation.
