Research And Development Of A Simple Mobile Phone Operating System Based On Embedded Linux

In recent years, with the development of Embedded Technology more and more mobile phone manufacturers begin to pay attention to research and development of embedded mobile phone operating system. Embedded Linux is an embedded version of the Linux operating system, which is designed for the embedded terminal products of various resource constrained. Open source and free of charge make Linux-based application development is very easy. Therefore, more and more intelligent mobile phone manufacturers tend to develop intelligent mobile phone based on Linux in order to reduce the cost of mobile phone.In this paper, for the current development status of embedded mobile phone operating system. It analyzes the structure of various mobile phone based on embedded Linux platform and put forwards the overall scheme of embedded Linux platform and the architecture of hardware platform. The scheme uses four-layer structure of the application software layer, middleware layer, operating system layer, hardware environment layer. According to the structure,it designs the simple mobile phone operating system. The main content includes software development environment to build, design and transplantation of Linux kernel, bootloader, file system of yaffs2, user interface of GUI, database of Sqlite,and AT communications. It realizes the basic functions of simple mobile phone operating system. And on this basis,it takes a simple test for each feature of mobile phone such as picking up the phone, message sending&receving. And also it put forwards the improvement and future research directions.
