Wireless Sensor Network is a new wireless communication networks. It can be applied in many areas such as military, environmental monitoring, medical systems and so on. Both in academia and the business Wireless Sensor Network is highly valued. Compared with the traditional networks, wireless sensor networks have many advantages, but there is also a lot of vulnerable, for example:there are too many nodes and difficult to manage, limited resources, communication link instability, topology changes, and so on. In conditions of limited resources to increase the network fault tolerance is important research directions in Wireless Sensor Network.Firstly, this paper introduces the characteristics and applications of the basic concepts of wireless sensor networks, and introduces a clustering algorithm for wireless sensor networks and fault-tolerant technology Research. Secondly, since the cluster head plays an important role in the network, in the election of the cluster head node, if the trust-degree of the cluster head is low, packet loss rate will greatly increase in the network in which the the node exists selfishness, and the performance of the network will greatly decline. Only double cluster head strategy in network and data transmission can not solute data transmission problem effectively. In this network, in order to enhance the performance of the network, we consider the node reliability and residual energy to increase the proportion of data forwarding and balance network cluster heads energy consumption. Finally, because the cluster head node failure may cause serious impact in network, it needs a real-time fault diagnosis of cluster head node scheme. in order to reduce the impact on the network when the cluster head node failure, the nodes on the network in real-time fault detection scheme is proposed based on fault-tolerant real-time fault detection clustering algorithm.It can improve the detection efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and to replace the failure cluster head node. The scheme can recovery faster and less delay in the network. It suit for wireless sensor networks.
