Asthma is a disease that high portion of the patients are being encountered. The treatment for the disease is a long process.During the recovery period, the disease observation is always a problem for the asthma patients. The normal way is to use the questionnaires to collect the information, which is boring and the users will drop it easily. What’s more, due to the triggering time and place of the asthma is uncertain, and the patients feel not easy to record the information outside of the house.Mobile health app is one of the important ways to solve the above problem. Thanks to the diversified characteristics of the product design, mobility and communication functions of the mobile devices, patients can use the asthma apps to record information at anytime and anywhere. The design of the mobile app should follow the user experience. On the basis of the relations among the user, mission and environment, make the analysis for demand, data structure, interactive design and layout design. Using the dynamic effect and visual design to add more interests to the app to increase the user stickiness. The paper was made on the basis of the user experience and taking the asthma assistant app as an example. After understanding the characteristics of the asthma patients and mobile health app, make a study on the actual project. At the beginning, I collected and compared the same types of apps to find out the positive and negative points. And talked with stakeholders to decide the features of the app and make the design plan.Currently, the product has been released on the Apple App Store and being used by the asthma patients. The design process of the app may be a reference for other chronic disease apps.
