With the development of thin film deposition technology and the wide application of high reflector, precise measurement of the related parameters of high reflector is particularly important. In order to measure the laser gyro, interferometer and high power laser devices such as low loss of the cavity, high reflectivity of the mirror, the cavity ring-down spectroscopy technology emerge in the early 1980s. Not only that, in the gravitational wave observations, high sensitive laser spectroscopy, gas content detection and the detection of trace concentrations of substances and so on, optical cavity ring-down technology also has the vital role.reviews the development process of the optical cavity loss measurement technology, and describes the research significance.focuses on the resonator loss measurement, analysis of the reasons for producing loss and the decay time methods calculation principle. Using Lab VIEW language to write the low loss measurement system software. CRD and the resonance, respectively, using to measure the optical resonator. The piezoelectric ceramics linear software module is described in detail. Finally, program the data processing function using Calman filtering theory based on LabVIEW, the loss is detected approaching the true value.Experiments measured the loss of optical resonator is between 600PPM-800PPM with a technology of CRD method.which is ±9 PPM.
