Design And Research Of All-optical Tunable Filter Based On Liquid Crystal On Silicon

With the continuous development of optical communication technology， especially thedense wavelength division multiplexing DWDM technology is widely used，high-speedall-optical switching technology has attracted more and more attention．Optical fibercommunication system has been changed from point to point transmission to dynamicreconfigurable network，fiber link dynamic changes require the supports of high-speedall-optical tunable filter．As the liquid crystal on silicon all-optical tunable filter (LCOSTunable All-optical Filter)has the ability to achieve high-speed multi-channel gating andfiltering，It is now the hot topic at home and abroad．In this thesis several traditional optical filters were introduced，and their structures wereanalyzed and compared．An new concept of LCOS filter was made on this basis．Analysisprinciple、design and a detailed experimental analysis are given．The design is based on thespatial light coupling theory．The grating spatial light modulator (SLM)、the Fourier lens、SLM which is located in the focal plane of the Fourier lens，constitute a tunable all-opticalsystems．In this thesis，the basic theory is given first，and then theoretical modeling．Describe theLCOS device work theory，Gaussian beam coupling theory，and grating coupled-wavetheory．Analysis the role and calculation process of various important optics devices in thesystem；starting from the filter LCOS overall structure，theoretically design the overalloptical path．Analyse and select each optical device， determine the parameters of eachmodel and performance； analysis the beam deflection characteristics， the spectralcharacteristics，and crosstalk and other key indicators of the filter system through specificexperiments．And analysis the programs to improve the system loss and bandwidthcharacteristics，and the programs to realize the14port output．...
