The Key Technology Research Of CPE With ACS Interconnection Function In CWMP Protocol

With the rapid popularization of the Internet technology and home network, thenetwork terminal equipment is also more and more, typically, for example gateways,routers, set-top boxes and so on. The traditional way of equipment management is totake one-on-one way of artificial door-to-door service. This way is not only inefficient,but also a waste of manpower. Obviously, the traditional way is no longer adapt to theage of the Internet when there is a wide range of equipment in the user side. How toconfigure and maintain a large number of network equipment and reduce the cost ofoperators, is becoming a problem of service provider. The presence of CWMP (CPEWAN Management Protocol, TR-069) has solved the problem in the service. In theCWMP protocol, mainly includes two kinds of logical device: the Management ofuser equipment CPE(Customer premises equipment) and server ACS(Auto-configurati-on Server). The user side equipment configuration, problem diagnosis, softwareupgrades and so on are all solved by the ACS remotely.The function of the remote management of CPE is through message interaction,and the premise of message interaction is to establish a reliable connection. This paperis on the background of the CWMP development project which is in cooperation withthe Hangzhou H3C Technologies Co, Ltd. The paper expounds the key technologiesneeded to realize the interconnection function of CPE with ACS. They are the DHCPdiscovery mechanisms, libcurl programming, NAT through technology, SSL securitymechanism and HTTP digest authentication. With the aid of key technologies, designand implement the interconnection function of CPE with ACS. The function iscompleted jointly by four sub modules, DHCP module, SESSION module, HTTPDmodule and STUN module respectively. Finally, with the help of simwaredevelopment environment and the ACS simulator completes the system test of thefour modules, and the test result verifies the applicability of key technologies and thefeasibility of the design.At present, the CWMP development project has been successfully delivered.CWMP system has completed all functions specified in CWMP protocol, includingthe interconnection function of CPE with ACS.
