In the mold design and manufacture process, engineering technical personnel’sexperience is critical in determining the quality of mould. Therefore, according to thecharacteristics of mould, to manage related knowledge of design and manufacture hasprovided a good decision support for engineering and technical personnel, and it will havegreat meaning for improving the quality of mould. Combining with the characteristics ofmould manufacturing, this paper uses the ontology theory to analyze the knowledge in thisfield and proposes a knowledge classification framework and reuse system based onontology theory.On the issues of diverse knowledge which is hard to unify expressing, storage andreuse in the process of mould manufacturing, this paper proposes a knowledgeclassification framework system for mould enterprise combining with the OWL ontologytechnology which has ability of expressing hierarchical concept. This framework divideknowledge into structured and unstructured. The former mainly refers to structured XMLdocument and relation database table, and the latter mainly refers to rules, experience,formulas, charts, etc. Combining with the characteristics of different types of knowledge,this paper brings them into further classified according to the fine-grained, and buildscorresponding ontology model, and do further research on the ontology knowledgerepresentation, reasoning and storage technology on this basis.Based on the ontology knowledge management technology above, knowledge reusetechnique is studied in this paper. Through ontology semantic similarity and correlationmatching, it extends customer search from the two dimensions of similarity andcorrelation, so as to form a more complete query. Meanwhile, SPARQL ontology querybased on Jena and meta data query are introduced in this system, which ensure theaccuracy and efficiency of query. The knowledge reuse system based on the knowledgeclassification framework provides a solution for positioning requirements in hugeknowledge ontology, thus laying a foundation for engineering and technical personnel toget necessary knowledge quickly. Finally, according to the research above, a general knowledge classificationframework system of mould based on ontology is developed, which preliminary verifiedthe effectiveness of the related research work in this paper and provided a new thought tothe classifying expression, storage, reuse, and management of knowledge in mould.
