With the rapidly development of computer-aided design and computer graphics,3DCAD has gradually replaced the traditional2D CAD product information to become a coremedia expression. CAD mesh model is an expression of neutral file. It contains less datamodel files and having a high degree of visualization. Currently, it has been widely used inproduct design, manufacturing, process, assembly, browser and other aspects. At the sametime, the existing mesh model will exist too much redundant information, lack of theinformation of the model geometry and topology and difficult to adjust display accuracyproblems. Therefore, this paper researched three-dimensional CAD mesh model and thekey technologies to solve the existing problems of this mesh model, the main contents areas follows:Firstly, this paper analysed the problems of the data representation of existing modeland subdivision algorithm. Then, this paper presented a new mesh model representation-CAD mesh models with geometric topology, and described the data structure of the meshmodel, geometry and topology information.Based on the raised CAD mesh models with geometric topology, this paper proposed anew subdivision algorithm-Classification subdivision algorithm. The algorithm couldcompensate for the problem of traditional subdivision algorithm in the CAD mesh model,and controlling the growth in the number after the subdivision effectively.Finally, this paper realized the transformation solutions of CAD mesh models withgeometric topology, and related subdivision algorithm, described the three-dimensionalvisualization platform of InteVue and the application of the model in the three-dimensionalmark.
