The popularization of smartphone and development of mobile Internet has laid agood foundation for the rise of instant messaging applications such as weixin, and theseapplications are changing peoples’ lives profoundly. The queuing and ordering systembased on winxin which introduced in this article is a system use weixin to send messagesto customer when is his or her turn, and this system can use weixin to achieve functionssuch as waiting ouside store, remote informing, order on-line.In this system, customers use weixin send message to the Restaurant’s public accountto let himself in the waiting lists. Restaurant receive the request and examing it, if therequest is valid customer will receive a message when it’s his turn. The time predictiontechnology is added in this system, this can reference all the waiting data before and thengive a prediction to the customer how long he will wait. In this period customer can havehis full swing. Ording and paying system is also in this system, customer can use weixinview the menu, place an order and pay it. Restaurant can use weixin public platform sendadvertisements to customers.The system is designed and developed using general method of software engineering,it’s a lightweight program. We use web technology and cloud computing platform in thissystem, so that it can be developed and deployed quickly, it’s cheap and can be used onevery platform without modifying. In this article we first describe the history of queuemanagement system and some key technologies, then we analysis the requirements andgive the use cases. Next, we describe the general design, detailed design and databasedesign of this system. At last we demonstrate the real system and give the testing result.The testing result indicate this system can meets all the requirements.
