With the constant development of next generation network and multimedia technology, more and more VoIP systems use SIP as the communication protocol in order to communicate with other systems. However, traditional SIP system based C/S mode often has single-point failure and performance bottleneck problems. In order to solve these problems, it is very important and practical to take the advantage of both SIP and P2P network which has high scalability, robustness advantage to construct a totally new P2PSIP architecture to the development of VoIP technology.The article mainly makes a research on the P2PSIP system based on P2P network architecture and SIP standard, makes a deep research on the problem of NAT traversing, management of network quality and source management, and designs the architecture from the operateable and manageable perspective.The article firstly researches on the problem of NAT in the P2PSIP system, design the NAT traversing scheme-session layer module which is distributed. Depending on the kind of the data, the module chooses the different traverse techniques, which take advantage of STUN、TURN、ICE. This solution can traverse all NATs and avoids the defects of using any of the other methods alone. In session layer module, we have proposed the method to measure the network bandwidth and the transport delay. The results supply standard which can manage P2P network.Secondly, the article analyzes construction of P2P Overlay and the source management in P2PSIP system. We take Chord arithmetic to manage and maintain all the nodes in P2PSIP system. Structured P2P networks create a virtual topology on top of the physical topology which makes the node’s logical ID independent of its physical location. Using the TTSAS clustering algorithm, we propose the TC_Chord to improve the efficiency of routing. We describe the technique of node’s registering and node’s failure in detail in this article.In the article, we test the functions and analyze the performance of P2PSIP system. The result of the research has both theoretic and practical meaning for P2PSIP system, and offers some methods and idea for the application of the practical P2PSIP.
