The Asian Research & Design Center of Trane Ltd. has designed an air source heat pump unit which used variable capacity compressor, variable water flow and controlled by the central control system (Mini BAS).In this dissertation, I will explain the solution and action of the new chiller and how to solve 4 key technical points.1. Confirm the solution of variable capacity compressor, discuss and design control logic of digital scroll compressor2. Use electronic expansion valve (EXV) with PID arithmetic to control superheat of evaporator, and take modification according to ambient temperature, compressor discharge and suction pressure3. Use 2 speeds condenser fan to control the condenser pressure in the low ambient temperature, discuss and design control logic of condenser fan4. Design chiller controller base on building automatic system (BAS), get intelligent control on the residential central air conditionerAll engineering work has been finished include new part design, function and reliability test, project has been transferred to factory for trial-produce.
