The21st century is the era of the information industry, computer is widely usedto promote the development of national economy and society, that we can’t stop therapid development of global information. At the same time, China’s higher educationis booming with a general increase in the enrollment rate, We need to enhance theefficiency and effectiveness of the work with student affairs. And college students’information management should become a new management model and thebreakthrough of the student work.This research significantly reflected in the following four aspects: First, weshould try to construct a centralized and efficient platform for the management ofcollege students, making the day-to-day management of student work more easily,and also planning related business process. Second, we should be committed toenhancing students’ management level, ensure the scientific, standardizedmanagement of related resources. Third, reducing the teacher’s work pressure, thecore work to counselors can improve students’ comprehensive quality andmanagement quality with more time. Fourth, to further promote the informationconstruction of student work in Colleges and universities. Student informationmanagement is the effective combination of the student information managementand students’ humanism harmoniously developing education.The design of the system adopts the three layers structure of B/S model, JSPsystem development technology and the development of selected Microsoft SQLServer2005database management system, to ensure the high efficiency of systemperformance.Through analysis of the present situation of management of domestic work withstudent affairs and existing student management system, and a comparative analysis, combining the current situation of design of Shenyang Institute of Engineering’s workwith student affairs for the college student management system platform. The designfollows the method of software development, the paper discusses the system in fiveparts, respectively is the software requirements analysis, system functional analysis,database structure design, students work system realization and system testing.The system design is finished, the school internal test run has started, using thesystem is very convenient for the teachers’ daily management work, a certain sensesimplifies the work flow, improve work efficiency. At the same time, the authorthrough the actual operation of the system to work, put forward the idea of the futuresystem perfect, lay the foundation for future research.
