At present, people are increasingly focused on their sports and health. With the development of mobile internet and the smart wearable device become available, it has become a custom of sports to use smartphone application and use sports monitoring device for perceiving the condition of body in sports. However, existing sports monitoring application has low accuracy. And the smart wearable device has problems which the data presentation is too simple or the real-time interaction with user is not well, because of the limit of size. So, we propose android-based a kind of sports monitoring system which can measure sports accurately and present the result more reasonably and timely.In this paper, a kind of Android-based sports monitoring system is researched and implemented. First, this paper gives research and design of sports monitoring algorithm which can calculate steps during user is moving. It uses the data of three-axis acceleration induced by smart wearable device worn on the head to analyze the change for judging a whole step. Next, a kind of breathing monitoring algorithm which can detect the breathing in sports is proposed. It analyzes the frequency--domain characteristics of audio signal from microphone by using Fourier transform, in order to identify the breathing component in the audio signal. Then, this paper focuses on describing the design and implement-ation of Android application. And there are lots of tests and data analysis for the two key modules, sports monitoring algorithm and breathing monitoring algorithm, to adjust parameters and optimize performance. As for the device, communication technique between device and software and the interface module, we only give summary description.
