In the last decades, hardware technology in the world has advanced with each passing day, resulting in a richer set of embedded sensors and larger capacity battery in smart phones. These changes have enabled new applications across a wide variety of domains and given rise to a new area of research called mobile phone sensing. Participatory sensing requires the user to participate in the process of data collection. During this process, participants will undoubtedly contribution their time, effort and money to fulfill the tasks. If participants cannot receive justifiable incentive, they will lose patience for our task. According to our experience, Reasonable incentive mechanisms can effectively improve the user’s initiative to increase the influence of subjective factors and to improve the quality of the data. This thesis’ research based on a national natural fund project named mobile collaboration awareness. According to the basis of summarizing the existing participatory sensing technology and incentive mechanism, the author designs a participatory sensing platform, which can collect user data in real time, and finish the data storage, analysis, and data visualization on server. This paper improves and implements the incentive strategy algorithm, which take data quantity, data distribution and budget constraints into consideration. By using the new incentive strategy, our platform increase the number of data collection, reduce capital investment, and make our participants get higher profit. We realize the win-win of the participatory sensing platform and participants by implement the cooperation between participants.First, this thesis introduces the related theories and technical background of participatory sensing and incentive strategy. Second, requirement analysis and system design of the participatory sensing platform. Third, the detailed design and implementation of each subsystem are highlighted. Then unit and integration testing are adopted, which indicates that the entire system achieves the prospective design goals. In the end, the thesis summarizes the whole work of the system, looks forward to future work.
