The Development Of The Automatic Calibration And Test Software For The GSM/WCDMA Dual-Mode Chip Of The N Company

The development of mobile communication technology is stepping into a period of changing with each passing day, people’s demand for mobile terminals has promoted the emergence of new technology. The development of new technology not only reflects the strength of a company, but also manifests the comprehensive strength of science and technology of a country.The quick change in mobile communication technology determines the short life cycle of mobile terminals, but terminal users have more stringent requirements for the functions, performances and stabilities of the mobile terminals. But the traditional manual test can’t meet such complicated, stable and fast test requirements, so it is imperative to develop a set of automated test software. This thesis provides a complete set of calibration and test solutions according to the N Company’s chips in self-determination and its calibration and test principles, in order to achieve the purposes of realizing stable and reliable tests and thus saving a lot of time and lowering the test cost.The major achievement made by the author is the set of automated calibration and test software developed on the basis of the N Company’s TL7689dual-mode baseband chips. The specific work is mainly as follows:1. Designed the automated calibration and test scheme according to the characteristics of the chip and existing instruments;2. Wrote the test process, developed and realized the calibration and test functions of GSM/WCDMA dual-mode phones;3. Verified the reliability and stability of the automated calibration and test software by experiments and analysises.This thesis firstly gives a brief introduction to the theories of calibration and test, and secondly explains the respective contents of automated calibration and test combining the actually developed automated calibration and test software. In addition to controlling instruments automatically and initializing mobile terminals and test instruments, the software can also collect, display and process data and generate the corresponding test reports. The analysis of test results shows that the use of the automated calibration and test software greatly enhances test efficiency and meanwhile guarantees test intensity and test precision.
