WLAN is a kind of radio that can transmit no more than100meters. The emergence of WLAN is to complement and extend the Ethernet, making it more convenient for the transmission of data. Hence, WLAN is combined of wireless communication technology and computer networks. In order to communicate with any person at any time and any place, we add more and more new technology into WLAN, such as MIMO, OFDM, Beamforming and so on, which push up the performance of WLAN into a new level.IEEE802.11is the mainstream standard of WLAN. Starting with IEEE802.11a and11b, the performance of802.11has undergone enormous changes. The number of users for WLAN is increasing in an explosive way. With the further development of business for WLAN, it requires higher rates and better quality for transmission. Besides, the spectrum resource is becoming more and more nervous, which has always been the biggest problem for WLAN. How to accomplish a more efficient and higher quality transmission with less resource of radio has increasingly become the focus of development for WLAN.In this thesis, we mainly focus on the high density protocol IEEE802.11ah and the very-high throughput protocol IEEE802.11ac. First, we add Pre-coding on the basis of original program to improve the performance. And then we use component interleaver and rotate modulation in the simulation to get higher performance compared with the Bit Interleaved Code and Modulation system. At last, we propose a new scheme called Joint Coding and Modulation Diversity with Pre-coding, which can get high performance gain compared with the original protocol. Besides, we set up a platform to simulate the PHY with MAC together, comparing the different curve of throughtput in different parameters such as the power, number of users and the scheme of access, which is practical and meaningful for the study of the latest protocol of WLAN.
