Software radio platform is now widely used in all aspects of the wireless communication field. For its low cost of development, flexible development, and characteristics such as good compatibility, software radio platform is widely used in the field of communications. The unique advantages makes the software radio platform be extensive applied in the field of military and scientific research. The purpose of software radio platform is as far as possible makes digital domain increasing share of the platform, as far as possible in the digital signal part of the development for software, so that we can reduce the cost of hardware development because the update of hardware development needs to more cost, resources, and manpower. Software radio platform is based on the hardware development platform for the general, expresses the advantages of software development, as far as possible finish the communication system development with the programmable device, for the low cost of software development, the characteristics of reconfigurable, reduce cost and development cycle, so as to adapt to changes quickly, and continuous development of communication system.Software radio platform contains the RF front-end, channel processing, FPGA, and user interface. The system uses a highly integrated chip named LMS6002to replace the ADC module and DAC module of the traditional software radio platform, and the RF front-end modules, improving the integration of the whole system greatly. This design has also simplifies the circuit design and the development of the FPGA, at the same time reducing the size of the PCB board. It provides the basis for upper level development, and can be compatible with the use of a variety of communication systems, the platform’s coverage is0.3GHZ to3.8GHZ, it can be used as a wideband receiver to achieve spectrum sensing.This article mainly complete the design and realization of wide software radio platform based on highly integrated chip, which include the physical circuit design, PCB layout and the development of FPGA. The purpose is building a communication platform based on software radio RF front-end processors and channel, which includes RF front-end, DA/AD conversion module, up/down mixer module, the interpolation/extraction module, FPGA, providing a basic platform for the sending and receiving for all kinds of communication mode.
