Information-Centric Networking (ICN) is a novel architecture which gets more and more attention as it has been proposed as a solution for dealing with various problems obsessing the Internet, such as the limitations in traffic control. To solve this problem, Software defined network (SDN), which is a new network paradigm, is proposed to be the possible solution to deploy ICN. Through the realization of a fully programmable network developing and interface, which is called "Operator-Network Interface", SDN greatly reduces the network and service control difficulty.This thesis describes a solution of SDN based techniques to support CCN, and it tries to utilize the programmable feature, with which it can change the underlying network environment to fulfill a wide and deep web developing demand and the network can be truly configured and defined by the software. Besides, with the implementation and extension work on control plane and data plane, this solution also provides functions with programmable interfaces and functions on CCN, such as traffic management function and resource distribution function.This thesis first analyzes the basic structure and discusses some defect in traffic management and routing mechanism of CCN network. Then, after analyzing the existing SDN based CCN solutions, the thesis analyzes some designs for SDN traffic control and management. After the analysis and discussions above, a possible solution for SDN based CCN is provided. Then, the comprehensive design is demonstrated, which contains the CCN network traffic management using SDN concept comprehensive design, the SDN switch with queue software-defined configuration comprehensive design. The comprehensive design includes requirement analysis, outline design and detailed design. Finally, the thesis demonstrates the implementation and verification about the design and proposes some future works.
