Hexahedral mesh is widely used in many fields of science computing, such as aerospace, machinery manufacturing, architectural design, biological, medical, geological modeling.etc. Meshing quality have greatly influence on the accuracy of the calculation results, the higher the quality of mesh, the result is more conform to the actual situation. Therefore, hexahedral mesh generation become research hotspot in the field of computer application. This paper has done the following research:Studied the hexahedral mesh generation algorithm based on octree. The algorithm generate the initial balance octree based on the model feature; To improve the quality of octree mesh transition area, adopting2-refinement template refine transition area;Computer the position relationship between octree mesh and constraint model with odd-even rule and separating axis theorem; Based on the principles of minimum distance, the surface of core mesh fitted to the model boundary by outward projection, generate boundary mesh, however, the outward projection method performance for ultrathin model was not well. This paper puts forward the way of inward projection to model surface. Experiments show that the method has a good effect for ultrathin model.Aimed at the poor boundary mesh generate by octree method.Using the improved method of Laplace, enhance the overall quality of the mesh without changing the mesh topology.Using.net, OpenGL and Assimp etc. open source library developed hexahedral mesh automatic generation system, and adopts jacobi value and aspect ratio to meter mesh quality. Experiments results show that the system can generate the quality qualified hexahedral mesh for different kinds of models, will not generate mesh has negative jacobi value.
