With the widely application of CAE in industry, the finite element method as the key of CAE becomes more and more important. In recent years, the research about FEM focuses on volume meshing. As hexahedral mesh has more advantages than surface mesh and tetrahedral mesh, a research hotpot is concentrated on hexahedral mesh generation algorithm. Design and implement a reliable, high quality, universal hexahedral mesh generation algorithm is the bottle-neck of FEA. In many hexahedral algorithms, sweeping with easy and effective implement is one of the most robust techniques in FEA.Based on comprehensively investigation and study about hexahedral mesh generation, this thesis presents hexahedral mesh generation algorithm and related technology, the main contents are list as follows:1. A hexahedral mesh generation algorithm based on one-to-one sweeping is designed. The algorithm uses the linear transformations between source loop and layer loop to project the interior points through layer and layer, and generate final hexahedral mesh. This algorithm computes simply and gets result easily.2. A multi-sweep generation algorithm by virtual decomposition is also designed. Virtual decomposition decomposes multi-sweep volumes into one-to-one sweepable sub-volumes, and sub-volumes generalize mesh by one-to-one sweeping. To decompose prismoid subject into sweepable sub-volumes, the source vertices project into target surface and decompose target surface to many subdomains. The virtual surfaces are found by linking opposite vertices from source surface and target surface, finally cut volume to sub-volumes. It is also designed spheriform decomposition based on geometry character. Virtual surface decompose eighth sphere to four volumes that topologies are same with hexahedral volume. The algorithm implements stably and solves problems about hexahedral mesh.Based on the above technology, the two achievements are applied through using C++ programming language, which can fulfill the tasks.
