With the rapid development of mobile internet and smart city, a variety of value-added services based on mobile internet become more and more popular. Mobile location service is considered one of the most potential for growth in value-added services, because the location information occupies a very important role in people’s lives. The typical location-based services, including searching the surrounding people and resources, points of interest, tourist navigation conference guide. GPS positioning system has been very mature with good results in the outdoor positioning, but indoor positioning result is not very good because of the complex environments. Therefore, the development of a high-precision indoor positioning system will have good market prospects.The company that I was an intern developed a WiFi-based indoor positioning system to solve the problem of complex indoor positioning. The system uses the ubiquitous WiFi network and mobile intelligent terminal to complete the positioning.It can use the existing WiFi network infrastructure, and has the advantage of low cost, wide coverage and high accuracy. It mainly includes three modules:the mobile client, the dispatch server and the positioning server.The thesis describes the system architecture,as well as the design and implementation of all modules in detail.Firstly,it introduces relative positioning technology and software framework technology.such as Android, Apache Mina, etc;and then, introduces the design and implementation of the system,including:system requirements analysis, overall system design, design and implementation of mobile client, design and implementation of the dispatch server, design and implementation of the positioning server, design of the database;after this,we testing the system and analysis of test results;at last,makes a brief summary,and points out the parts needs to be improved.
