In today’s China, Urbanization is the linchpin to china’s development which is accelerated gradually. The rapid expansion of city population makes the city area growing tensions. Especially housing problem has become one of the most important factors impacting the process of urbanization and the social harmony and stability. Some old and low living building is unable to meet the request of growing city population. Therefore the demolition and reconstruction work is imperative.However, the demolition work is related to city peoples livelihood. If this work is not done well, it will seriously affect the social stability. In addition to improve the national laws and regulations, the effective management of demolition work will be a magic weapon to solve these problems. But, demolition work is related with wide area, the huge amount of data should not be managed artificially, there must be a management system based on computer and network technology to reduce the burden of artificial work and improve the efficiency and safety of data.To solve the problems above, this paper designed and developed a demolition management system based on web technology. It can assist the staff to handle the management of demolition information effectively and accurately. Through the analysis and investigation, combining with author’s work experience, this management system is divided into several parts as housing management, demolition project information management, compensation management, households information management and system management, etc., which basically cover the main aspects of demolition work.This system is designed and developed strictly based on software life cycle. Started from problem definition, and feasibility analysis, the demand analysis, function modeling, outline design and detailed design, development and ended with test procedure. Each link to each other, so as to guarantee the efficiency and quality of the software.Our system uses the mainstream MVC3-layer infrastructure and developed based on.net structure. We also use SQL Server as the database management system. The prototype test results show that our system is running with a complete function and easy to operate, which can easily assist staff to handle the demolition and other related work.
